Dear Park Winters Family,

A Chat with Farmer Ryan

Q: Hey Ryan! What's going on at the Farm?

Ryan:
The dry spell has allowed us to continue working in the field doing row prep which includes mowing, removing organic matter, and rototilling, which will help us plant our starts that we've been growing in our seed bank. We also just propagated two varieties of our lavender that will serve as rows for a future you-pick experience!

We are continuing maintenance and clean up of the farm to prepare for the winter which includes pruning back and fertilizing shrubs and trees, spraying powder for mildew and other fungi, mowing, pruning back perennial skeletons to allow for new growth, compost rotation and our least favorite activity: managing our gopher population.

We've also just planted thousands of bulbs around our farm and will continue to plant thousands more this month so be on the look out for some gorgeous colors in early Spring!

New Maker:
Right Side Hand

Influenced by nature’s cycle of life, founder Nina Booth celebrates the unique qualities and characteristics of flowers in their final stage of existence. Her hand-woven wreath bases are created from dried grapevines while Nina’s beautiful and unique flower and botanical collections are grown by small female owned farms or found on her private walks and hikes in Northern California.
